The Lillet Twisted Vesper competition - we have a winner!
Big congratulations to Alex Proudfoot from Raoul's bar, Oxford for being crowned winner of the European Lillet Twisted Vesper Competition with 'An Englishman Never Shoots Blancs'. Finalists from all over; from Scotland to France, asembled in Paris for the final this Monday.
The judges' decision was a tough one with every finalist offering a strong contrender for the prize, however it was Alex's unique twist on the classic, using Wray & Nephew and a grapefruit twist that won it.

Lillet's National Twisted Vesper Cocktail Competition
Lillet has invited bartenders throughout the UK to compete in the Twisted Vesper Cocktail Competition. The competition, which encourages entrants to bring their own creative flare to the cocktail, also has strict guidlines to adhere to; the drink must not be tainted with juices and liqueurs and must comprise of no less than one-ninth Lillet.
Edinburgh kicked off the first of the regional heats, with Manchester and London hosting the last of the UK heats. The final will take place in Paris, the homeland of Lillet in the near future. Date TBC.
