The brief was to create something appealing to men and women, easy to create for speed of service and accessible enough to be able to recreate at home. With some delicious, simple ingredients, Ajax has created a truly delicious cocktail; fresh, sweet and sour with a healthy Kraken kick!

Congratulations to Jody 'Avenging Hunter' Buchan
Jody Buchan from 99 Bar & Kitchen in Aberdeen created the delicious, short and punchy 'Demon in the Dark'. Jody used the spices infused in Kraken, such as cinnamon and nutmeg and experimented with peppermint bitters; another flaming delight that not only tasted great but represented the Kraken perfectly!

Ajax Kentish, bar manager at Quo Vadis, created his delicious cocktail 'Valkyrie for the Fallen' with a healthy measure of Kraken Rum with additional spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg. The flamed creation was a hit with the judges, with its complimentary flavors and theatrical flaming.

Kraken sponsors Festival Number 6, Portmerion
Set in the magical village of Portmeirion, in North Wales, this is a festival unlike any other in a place like no other.
Taking place during 14th-16th September, The Kraken is proud to host the Kraken cocktail tent. With views of the estuary and the main stage below, set in front of the castle and housed in a luxury tipi and garden, it will be the perfect setting serving the perfect inky drinks.
There is music, spoken word and comedy throughout the three days, with a line up that boasts New Order, Spiritualized, Primal Scream, Phil Jupitus and Caitlin Moran to name a few, it is going to be a very special weekend.
